The Health Service Executive (HSE) is the Statutory Body responsible for Disability Services nationally and provides Windmill’s main stream of funding which is directed toward positions and roles crucial for the facilitation and effective delivery, recording, monitoring and administration of The Personal Centred Planning process, training programmes and effective running of the Service. Level of funding is agreed on a yearly basis through the HSE Service Arrangement Process. Windmill relies on other state Grants, such as Pobal, Department of social Protection, Community Services Programme, to provide the most part of funding for ancillary to programme posts. Service Users are required to make a weekly contribution to the service. Windmill remains dependent upon Service User weekly contribution and also upon the goodwill and fundraising efforts of those in our wider community. Monies gained through contributions go towards maintaining level of Service and running costs.
